The apalachicola river mound center - "chattahoochee, Florida"
Pictures/images captured from Aboriginal Territory on the Apalachicola River.
Dear reader,
We are in gratitude for the presence of these important American signatures still remaining along the Apalachicola River. Evidence suggest that these mounds were constructed by the Original Inhabitants of this great land for ceremonial purposes eons ago. These Ancient Mounds are reported to be of the Great Mississippian Culture. Historians and researchers have declared that this site was a thriving Mound Center, functioning similar to other large sites across North America. The earthen structures were aligned to celestial events for varied purposes, including agriculture and communal gathering.
Original Inhabitants thrived by building abodes, cultivating edible and medicinal plants; developing quality goods and wares; and sharing a multiplicity of native resources through trade routes with distant Clans. They navigated the waterways from as far away as the northern mountains of “Georgia” to the Gulf of Mexico.
